Self-motivated medical personnel bringing proven leadership, organizational and customer relations skills. Independently solved problems and kept teams on task to handle diverse business requirements.
In September 1981 I began my career as a Unit Secretary on an Oncology Unit at Danbury Hospital. It was there a met a doctor who offered me a job in his office. In September 1982 I started with Danbury Internal Medicine as a medical receptionist. I took a course of Medical Terminology in 1983 at Danbury Hospital to further my education in medicine. When that practice outgrew their location in July 1989 I moved with the cardiology portion of the practice and that began my career as the office manager of that division. In January 2006, the Cardiologists left the practice and joined Cardiac Specialists of Fairfield and offered me the position of Office Managers position. I gladly accepted the offer. In January 2011 we joined Yale New Haven Health Systems/Bridgeport Hospital and I retained my position as the Office Manager until I retired in July 2016 anticipating a life change move to Florida
I am looking to reenter the medical workforce on a smaller scale. I loved being in the medical field and I believe my experience with Doctors, Staff and patients would enhance any medical facility or office.
