  • Have held several positions with IntelliDyne to include Senior Network Security Engineer and Senior Network Engineer. Currently serving as the team lead for the Network Engineering team with seven direct reports.
  • Lead Network Security Engineering Team responsible for securing the enterprise network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, intrusion prevention/detection systems, switches and other devices as necessary.
  • Supervises personnel and responsible for personnel actions including performance appraisals.
  • Network Security and Engineering lead in a multi-million dollar complete remodel of Defense Health Agency (DHA) Aurora facility and data center, resulting in the most efficient data center in DHA with high efficiency CRAC units, new hot isle containment and standardized rack power supported by new UPS units.

  • Secured excess equipment from another agency to replace and consolidate end of support/life firewalls. Configured and deployed the replacement firewalls resulting in cost savings and mitigating the risks associated with running EOL equipment in the production network.
  • Network Security and Engineering SME for several DoD DIACAP and RMF Certification and Accreditation processes. Producing documentation and ensuring network infrastructure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) IAVMs and DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides resulting in ATO certification.
  • Network Security and Engineering SME on several projects with the most recent being a migration from Juniper Pulse Secure VPN to Cisco AnyConnect VPN. This migration will allow a standardization for remote access across the entire DHA enterprise and decommissioning EOL equipment.
  • Network SME on current effort to completely migrate several networks to the standardized DHA D2D MEDCOI network reducing the cost of support and lowering the threat surface of the DHA enterprise network.
  • Review and research all network infrastructure security reports on a daily basis and take appropriate actions to deal with security issues through a combination of modifications to ACLs, Content Filtering rules, IPS rules and custom IPS signature creation.
