When at Sears my discovery of a billing error resulted in the entire billing for a major parts supplier being overhauled nationwide for all of its customers. This resulted in savings of millions of dollars in potential lost inventory within Sears alone-not to mention the other companies that were also effected.
As a dispatcher for TransTime Express Courier Service I was responsible for the on time delivery of organs for transplant and blood for transfusion. I supervised up to 70 drivers at a time and knew the status of each driver and delivery at all times.
As a volunteer for the American Red Cross I provided First Aid at over 2000 events over a 10 year period. I also taught First Aid and CPR as well as taught people how to teach these classes.

Do deliveries as needed to accommodate special circumstances. My car got totaled and I was no longer able to get to the office or to do deliveries. My next car was not in good enough shape to drive with reliability for this kind of work.

I found a billing issue with a major parts supplier that turned out to effect every order placed to this manufacturer from every retailer it dealt with. It took 2 weeks and the calling of a man back from his daughter's wedding to get the glitch fixed. I was the only person in the country to notice a billing discrepancy and call them about it.
I was responsible for all aspects of running a chain drug store in a major metropolitan market. This included hiring and training all personnel except for pharmacists, loss prevention, maximizing sales, minimizing expenses (mostly payroll), store maintenance, ordering and inventory control. The company went out of business after a series of leveraged buyouts. At the end I was working 120 hour work weeks every week and needed a break from retail.

I am two classes away from my Bachelor's Degree but have not had the financial resources to complete this degree. My daughter's difficult pregnancy required my resources and my time and I have not had the chance to go back yet. I have a healthy grandson to show for my sacrifice though.
