To obtain a Lab Technician position in the Department of Molecular Microbiology and Immunology at USC.
Upper-Division GPA: 3.59
Performed various experiments involving antibody purification, mouse dissection, spleen and thymus extraction, analysis of lymphocytes via immunofluorescent labeling, monoclonal antibody production, and flow cytometry.
RNA was extracted and isolated from Ciona savignyi embryos. Using reverse transcription and subsequent sequence-specific PCR, mRNA transcripts provided a cDNA sequence that was cloned in E. Coli. The plasmids were then recovered from the transformed cells and the cloned gene sequence was isolated. Used BLAST to analyze and made inferences about early developmental protein expression.
