I am currently seeking a position that will allow me to begin utilizing my knowledge and skills from my BS in Criminal Justice. I am beginning my masters degree in May and want to begin pursing my career in the criminal justice field.
My main job responsibility was to managed and lead complex merchandising solutions with a team of ten people. Conduct walks and utilize reports to drive execution of merchandising standards safely, accurately and productively. Provide direction on merchandising activities in accordance with Merchandising Action Planner and other assigned off-shelf merchandising. Motivate, coach, develop and train associates in all processes of The Home Depot.
Main duties consist of driving a 24 foot box truck. I made deliveries to our customers, both at their business and at the job sites. I used the computer to print the manifest delivery reports, analyze the reports to determine which truck the parts need to be placed on for the daily deliveries, which must be completely accurate. Pull invoices and delivery tickets; compile information needed to enter materials received/delivered into the inventory system in order to keep our inventory accurate. When not on the road, I assisted in all areas of the warehouse, including counter sales.
I drove a structured FedEx Ground route, servicing all of Florida State University and most parts of downtown Tallahassee. I made deliveries to our customers and had them sign for their packages. I was responsible to investigate all claims filed for packages that were missing or damaged. Used the FedEx System to properly document all claims filed and notified customers of findings in a timely manner. I loaded and unloaded my truck, scanned packages for proper delivery. Practiced safe operating procedures and complied with all traffic and FedEx rules and regulations.
I received products into store and maintained inventory system. I made deliveries to our customers and set up the furniture for them. I worked with our customers to solve any problems with deliveries and furniture set up. Built furniture that needed to be put on display and assisted in all areas of the warehouse.
During these years I worked for Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR), Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) and Game and Fish Commission (GFC). My main duties included running the mail room, picking up, processing and delivering mail. Opened all mail and posted all money that came in to the computer. I ran revenue reports to be sent to accounting, then took the deposit to the bank. I ran the shipping of all FedEx and UPS shipments and processed reports necessary for those couriers. While at AHCA was switch board operator/secretary for 10 attorneys filed documents at the courthouse and district court of appeals, filed and copied all legal documents within the agency. While I was at GFC there was a period of three months that we did not have a supervisor and I was put in charge of supervising three employees and running the mailroom. While in that position I also handled the ordering of all supplies, over the inventory of those supplies and was in charge of doing purchase order requisitions.
