As a Customs and Border Protection Marine Interdiction Agent, was responsible for safe operations of Agency Interceptor vessels used to interdict smuggling activities within the marine environment using various platforms. Assigned to the Information Analysis Center (IAC) at the US Embassy in Mexico City four times from October 2017 to September 2019 to serve as a Command Duty Officer (CDO). The IAC CDO works with stakeholders within Mexico, including NORTHCOM, HSI and DEA, and is the CBP liaison to the various Government of Mexico agencies (SEDENA, SIVA and the Mexican Federal Police) coordinating anti narcotic smuggling efforts.

As a Border Patrol Agent my primary duties included detecting, preventing, and apprehending undocumented aliens, smugglers of aliens and illegal narcotics, responding to electronic sensor alarms in remote areas, interpret and track human footprints, trails, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal aliens and smugglers. Perform line-watch duties, traffic checkpoint operations, train/rail yard check, city patrols, transportation checks, and other border law enforcement duties.
In addition to my primary primary duties, I also served the Border Patrol Sector as a Special Response Team (SRT) Member, Firearms Instructor, a CBP Certified Armorer, Body Armor Coordinator, Prosections Officer and on the Remotely Monitered Seismic Sensor (RMSS) Crew .
