After graduating from Massachusetts Maritime Academy I have spent the last 8 years as a Marine Surveyor conducting multiple different appraisal and vetting surveys on numerous different types of marine equipment and structures in a wide variety of service and locations.

commercial marine vessels and structures including ships, tugboats, OSV's,
jack-up rig and boats, barges, cranes, bridges, fishing vessels, private yachts, docks, drill rigs and vessels, etc. These appraisals and surveys were conducted for numerous different purposes ie. Towing Certificates, condition surveys, insurance policies, damage appraisal and repairs, surveys for charter purposes and conversion projects, cargo damage, and salvage operations among others. Expected responsibilities included producing a professional final product in report form.

The office portion was spent booking incoming freight orders and load planning outgoing shipping containers for overseas transit. The warehouse portion was spent as a forklift operator offloading, recording and properly tagging incoming freight and following a load plan to pack outgoing shipping containers.

One month was spent in the office assisting with assembly of bid packages in attempt to acquire management rights for Navy Ready Reserve Vessels. The other month was spent aboard two US Navy Ready Reserve RoRo ships organizing and recording inventory.

including insurance, chartering, brokerage, logistics and ships construction.
Coursework included labs and hands-on activities along with off campus visits
to local businesses in the industry. Spent two months at sea aboard the
Academy's training ship and also held a Petty Officer position Sophomore year and a Squad Leader position junior
year. Curriculum also included training
in firefighting, First Aid, Water Survival, and basic seamanship. Activities while at MMA
include Varsity Football and Rugby Club and also volunteered with Best Buddies
and Special Olympics.
