Accomplishments

While on board the USS Providence as Small Tools Petty Officer, I inventoried, inspected and organized all tools located in my work space which resulted in accurate parts and tools location as well as accurate order placements for tools that were needed to complete the job. As Small Valve Maintenance Petty Officer, I took a once completely abandoned and neglected program and set the new standards. I administratively set the rules and standards for this program and brought it to a modern era. While establishing this program, I effectively found and corrected all material deficiencies associated with this program and received great comments on the improvement of the administration and material conditions of this once neglected program during an ORSE inspection. As Assistant Publications Petty Officer I revised, maintained and repaired all Master Publications located on board. As a result these publications were kept in an always ready state and were used to properly educate and exercise procedural operation of vital Submarine systems. As Noise Reduction Petty Officer I facilitated and performed corrective maintenance on all sound isolations and sound mounts associated with my work space and equipment. I corrected material deficiencies on the spot after touring and inspecting all my applicable spaces. For any sound mount or isolation that I couldn't correct I administratively entered jobs to have new replacements ordered and installed them ultimately resulting in the ships quiet operations out at sea which is imperative to our basic operation. As a Qualified Helm and Planes operator I assisted with many ship missions and operations while professionally driving the submarine. As Lead planesman (most experienced driver), I assisted with the training and development of the younger helm and planes operators in their qualification process.
