In February of 2000 my husband and I relocated to the State of Washington. I then became a home maker taking care of our twin daughters and our son. In March of 2011 my dad was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and the children and I returned to Hawaii to take care of him. My dad died September 2012 and my mother was then diagnosed with Dementia/Alzheimer's disease. My husband and I decided that I should stay and take care of my mother. Now we face challenges that we both didn't think was possible while we made these decisions to take care of both my parents. I need to now return to the work force to take care of myself and my children. I hope that my 16 years being a home maker does not influence the fact that I will be incompetent in the work place. I am diligent and hard working with good work ethics. I understand that it has been 16 years since I was employed, but I am ready to move on to the future ahead. I also understand that the work force has under gone a lot of changes and I am willing and able to adapt. I am excited to start a new career especially now that my daughters are 16 and my son is 14.
