Receive notification of a lawsuit against General Motors.
Contact service manager at dealership to acknowledge lawsuit and request repair orders and sales documents. Contact customer's hired attorney and acknowledge demand letter.
Once repair orders and sales documents received, create case assessment form and enter all repairs done on the vehicle via computer to access whether claim can be settled out of court or if a trial needs to be scheduled.
Send finished case assessment to General Motors Counsel for approval and settlement authority.
Negotiate settlement with customer's attorney, once settled send out Release of Claim or repurchase worksheets to attorney.
Document and attach to file email correspondence received.
