lead welder fabricator resume example with 9+ years of experience

Jessica Claire
, , 100 Montgomery St. 10th Floor (555) 432-1000,

During my time in high school, I took many technical education classes, which has made me find a passion in working and having a leading role in trade work. I also work at the Beriah Lewis Farm in North Stonington part time. While working on the farm I have learned how to run many types of equipment, and performed mechanical hands on work on everything a farm has to offer. Also it taught me to solve problems quickly and safely. I was offered an internship at Pfizer as a Separation Sciences Technician. Pfizer stressed the importance of being very tedious when dealing with chemicals and being aware of all dangers a job site can offer. This was a 6 month internship. At Davis-Standard I was hired originally to take the trash out as a temporary employee in 2017, though not what I wanted to do I knew I needed a way to get my foot in the door. From there I went on to be hired as a welder fabricator, and since have moved to being the lead welder in a supervisor position for the last year and a half. I now oversee the work of 15-20 other employees and make sure jobs are being done on time and as safe as possible. I know I could handle the same responsibilities at any job, as one of my favorite things to do is train other employees and be in a leadership role to set the example for everyone else. 6 Reliable [Job Title] accomplished with different metalworking techniques, types of projects and environmental conditions. Works independently to accomplish project goals and consistently completes assignments on-time. Skills include brazing, welding and flame cutting. Talented professional experienced in welding, metal cutting and soldering. Brings strong attention to safety and quality. Team player with skills to read, understand and implement complex instructions.

  • I have many leadership and problem solving skills that originated from working on a farm and never knowing what will happen on a day to day basis. I can run any equipment given to me with the proper training. Davis standard taught me how to fabricate and weld anything from small sheet metal jobs, to 35 foot long structures. I leared blueprints, CNC plasma and oxy-acetylene torches, press brakes, shears, rollers, cranes and rigging, and everything a metal fabrication shop has to offer. I am very efficient at MiG and tig welding all different types of steel with all different processes.
