I spent two years in Portugal doing volunteer work for the Church. My assignment consisted of finding people to teach through contacting door to door, stopping people on the street, and other possible means. I was responsible for overseeing up to 22 other missionaries doing the same throughout the country.
I oversaw and participated in tasks such as demolition, fence repair, construction machinery operation, and ranch care and maintenance.
I assisted in demolition tasks, landscaping, construction, care of cattle, fencing building and repair, and other ranch maintenance.
I attended 2 semesters at Idaho State University during fall of 2011 and spring of 2012. I was awarded Scholarships for academic ability and excellence totaling $5,000 over the course of these 2 semesters. I am enrolled to continue this fall and will continue to receive scholarship money based on my academic performance.
Intensive 9 month training program to learn the basics of the Portuguese language and teaching skills.
