Work History
06/2018 to Current Journeyman Electrician Faith Technologies, Inc. | Oklahoma City, OK,

After leaving the Bay Area seeking an alternative paced lifestyle for my growing family, I began with McKeever. I've enjoyed my time working in Humboldt and plan to continue. While with McKeever we managed to complete a number challenging projects and take great pride in our craftsmanship. I held the position of Journeyman Electrician, and towards the latter part of my time with them, assistant Construction Manager. McKeever has decided to go into a new sector of Construction, no longer employing electricians rendering the field crew obsolete. Below are a few projects and general tasks I am proud to have been a part of:

  • Arcata-Eureka Airport. Contracted by Tesla, 3MW PV DC-DC coupled microgrid + 1MW Grid-Tied PV
3MW Battery Energy Storage System (Tesla Megapacks)

11/2014 to 06/2018 Apprentice/Journeyman Electrician Kodak | Columbus, GA,

I finished my final 2 years of my 5 years apprenticeship with Contra Costa Electric at Chevron Refinery Richmond, CA. I was privileged to work in the industrial environment while completing my apprenticeship and turning out as a California State Certified Journeyman Inside wireman. Not long after I turned out, I was promoted to Foreman while working 7 days a week, 12 hour days on a plant shutdown. I left Contra Costa to pursue a less stressful environment in Humboldt County. Below are some of the many tasks performed while working at Chevron:

  • Cutting, threading and bending RMC up to 5" trade size diameter
  • Ground Grid installations
  • Repaired and installed new fixtures, wiring, circuits, and motors.
  • Troubleshot and repaired malfunctioning systems and components.
  • Inspected electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects and need for adjustment or repair.
  • Completed rough-in, termination, and underground work.
07/2011 to 07/2016 Electrician Apprentice IBEW Local 302 | City, STATE,
  • I entered a 5 year apprenticeship program upon completing and entry level position filling electrical material lists and delivering material. While simultaneously doing some labor in the form or digging and fire caulking.
  • I began as an apprentice with a small Residential contractor Dawson Electric, I spent ~1.5-2 years learning residential and building the foundation of my electrical knowledge and understanding basic circuitry. We primarily focused on custom homes to tract homes along with some lite commercial.
  • I was then rotated to a few Commercial Contractors, primarily Del Monte Electric, where I learned conduit bending and larger scale installations along with three phase wiring configurations. I spent ~1.5 years in commercial electrical as an apprentice.
  • Once I got the exposure to the commercial industry, I was rotated again to Contra Costa Electric to get Industrial exposure. This is where I completed my 5 year apprenticeship program and became a journeyman electrician.
