The JATC puts you threw an extensive 5 year electrical apprenticeship to learn all details pertaining to the electrical field. You must establish 900 hours of in school training and 8000 hours of on the job training, along with regular written test and hands on skills test. Once completed you must pass a written journeyman test that test knowledge of advanced electrical installations as well as electrical code to earn a journeyman electrical license.
