I am seeking employment as an entry level police officer. I have extensive knowledge of drug enforcement and laws, police procedures, arrest techniques, radar training, memory retention, and search and seizure laws. I do well under pressure, and know how to handle different scenarios.
I made the Dean's List 2 times while I was at Tennessee Wesleyan College. This means that I had to made at least a 3.40 and make no grade lower than a C.
I was expected to ride along with different patrol officers and write down my experiences of every trip. I learned in-depth knowledge of arrest procedures, how to read radar and estimate speed of the vehicle, conflict resolution, how to identify specific drugs, where the gang spots were located, and how dangerous the job can be. I was given a report on my performance which stated my attitude and determination were my greatest attributes.
I learned about making arrests, how to pull a gun out of its holster and fire quickly, reading radar, memory retention, and listened to detectives and sergeants talk about there experiences and training.
My areas of study included Criminology, Theory of Criminal Law, Forensics, Crime Scene Investigation, Ethics of Criminal Justice, and Constitutional and Criminal Law. I have a vast knowledge of each subject.
