I was the legislature's Senior Fiscal and Policy Research Analyst in the fields of Tax Policy and fiscal management for State agencies with a combined budget in excess of $1 billion. I was responsible for working with senior state officials and business leaders to prepare written and oral presentations for legislators regarding the fiscal impact of current administrative policies and proposed legislation. Developed a computerized spreadsheet of all state property, business and special fund taxes such as the Transportation Trust Fund, fuel taxes, etc. I also conducted studies on the State's international business promotion efforts and the fiscal impact of the U.S. Department of Commerce's Foreign Trades Zones program on the Port of Baltimore and State of Maryland.
