I am a Board certified Internist with expertise in hospitalist medicine and geriatrics. I have worked at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas, a 900 bed facility, as a hospitalist managing complicated internal medicine patients. I am seeking a position in an outpatient private practice with no inpatient coverage. Hospitalist Physician, 01/2008 to CurrentMD on Call, PA － Dallas, TX
I have worked as a hospitalist since I graduated from my residency program. My duties have included admitting acutely ill patients through the Emergency Room, transfers for a higher level of care or as direct admissions from referring physicians' offices. I have also provided internal medicine consultations on patients referred by multiple surgical sun specialties and OBGYN. I have also seen patients referred for pre operative evaluations where I assess patients to determine medical condition and level of surgical risk.
I am known for my empathetic bedside manner and always take time to explain prescribed procedures and discuss test results with patients and their families. I also routinely discuss various treatment options extensively with patients and families.
I have been on call for my group of 19 physicians and covered call for over 250 inpatients in the hospital. I have responded to medical emergencies that require rapid assessment and intervention in acutely ill patients.
I have been current with my medical records and maintain excellent documentation.
I keep abreast of changes in Internal Medicine and am part of the Teaching Faculty of the Internal Medicine residency program at Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas Hospital.
