I truly enjoy working with people, with the aim of safety and health promotion. While working at SPH, I received at least two Daisy Awards (excellence in patient care). I graduated as a non-traditional student in 2010 with Honors and distinction from Carroll College with a 3.8 career GPA. I was inducted into Sigma Theta Tau (Nursing Honors Society) and Delta Epsilon Sigma (graduating from a Catholic University ranked top 20% in their class and show dedication to intellectual activity and community service). While attending UM-Helena I had a 4.0 and was the President of Phi Theta Kappa (Honors Society). I also received many scholarships.
I am passionate about educating women in preparation for childbirth and was a certified Birth Doula, certification from Seattle Midwifery School, 2002. I was paid to provide educated, compassionate and supportive birthing care for birthing women in a various settings.
I love to do beadwork, and have volunteered many hours to elementary classrooms with supplies and my time to learn beadwork. I have been a beadwork artist for over 25 years and have been highlighted in museums and boutiques, with a pending fashion magazine highlighting my work soon.
