-Lead technician and work center supervisor for the U.S. Navy's main anti surface weapon system.
-conducted preventative maintenance along with trouble shooting malfunctions, including a casualty that had plagued this weapon system since it was built. Worked very closely with the engineers on repairing this issues, ultimately saving the Navy time and money.
-As a work center supervisor in charge of planning and carrying out maintenance plans and delegating to 3 subordinates the maintenance for each day.
- daily maintenance could involve checking and logging electrical currents and battery levels and hydraulic pressures to complete disassembly and reassembly of a paw system that is used to hoist ammunition into the system.
- Maintained magazine sprinkler system which are the main fire suppression systems for a munitions space on a naval vessel. this included dealing with O rings, brass tubing, pneumatic valves, check valve and a very good understanding of hydraulics and pressures.
Completed several classes during active duty time.
