As a target employee, I worked as a guest advocate which meant I worked at the front end of our store. I worked as a cashier, self checkout advocate, and service advocate. As a cashier I would check people out and make sure they had the best experience possible in the store that day. When I would work at the self checkout I would help guest with any questions or concerns they may have had during their shopping experience that day. At the service desk I would assist guest with returns and concerns on prices. I loved this job because of the interactions i got to have with customers. At target I was also trained in fulfillment and restocking. Along with everything i was also Maintained cleanliness, neatness, organization of all areas, eliminated safety hazards, removed soiled items and collected trash from customer areas. This job was very educational and it helped me obtain more skills to be able to assist customers.
My time at bath and body works was short because i was a seasonal associate, but in the short time it still taught me quit a bit about sales and restocking. While working at bath and body works my main task was to walk around to help guest with and questions and educate them on new products, sales, or limited time items. About twice a month i would work late shifts after the store was closed, which consisted of a new floor set for the store. In this time we would replace last seasons products and restock them with the new seasons products. I also was expected to keep the store up to par in cleanliness and appeal, which meant keeping everything straight and organized. This job helped with gaining more customer service skills and organizational abilities.
My job at the dental clinic consisted of cleaning and organizing the office after hours. i would deep clean all bathrooms, offices, and break rooms. I would do the dishes and clean the eating areas. This job revolved around cleaning, sanitization and time management. i enjoyed the job very much but i sadly had to leave in June because my summer job had started.
Being a lifeguard was my first job and it came with a lot of responsibility, days as a lifeguard would start at 7am and go until 8pm. My first task of the day would be cleaning. i would arrive at the pool at 7 in the morning and clean the bathrooms, guard house, showers, pool deck and chairs. After cleaning from 9am and run until 11pm, I led swimmer instructional lessons with participants of varying ages to share optimal swim techniques and build strength. Then at 12pm the pool would open, from 12pm-8pm i would monitored behaviors for safety violations and took steps to prevent further violations, sell food and candy to families, check people in, and assist as needed. Being a lifeguard for two years insured that i was always proficient in cpr and first aid training, which would always be good in a crisis.
