2020 has certainly been a trying year. One that has caught all of us off guard and totally reshaped how we live and think. It's also a great opportunity to start fresh and I couldn't be more excited to venture down a new career path. One thing you will always get from me is consistency. I hold myself to a high standard especially in my enthusiasm and respect for others. I've done a lot of different things, from founding and managing my own band and music business for 5 years, to carpentry, multiple years in the service industry, and working with kids. What I've brought to the table in every job I've ever had is my unique ability to gel with people and bring a positive attitude to the workplace. I am confident in saying that I can bolster moral and lift peoples spirits. It's what I've done through my music for the past 15 years and it's a part of my daily life as well. I am creatively minded and love to learn and am a good listener. I'm a proud husband and father of 1 living in Charlotte and I am very determined to join your team and help your business grow. I look forward to meeting you and thank you for this opportunity.

I am the founder and owner of my band Madaila. We started out in 2015 and have toured nationally and regionally over the years. It's taken a lot of time and hard work to build up the brand and have some success in a VERY challenging industry. After my son was born we took a 1.5 yr hiatus. Before that we were regarded as one of Vermont's biggest bands as we played the highly coveted New Years Eve run at Burlington's Higher Ground in 2017, and two years we hosted our own festival on Main St. in downtown Burlington called "Madaila On Main" which had never been done before. The band has slowly come back into the fold but as more of a solo project. Now with COVID we can't tour or play shows but I continue to release a lot of music. I am aiming to get 4 short albums out this year.
I started at Red House with little to no carpentry experience. I was amazed by how much knowledge is required and by all the different facets there are to carpentry. The tools, the language, the math, the types of wood, the accuracy etc etc. I learned a lot and enjoyed the manual labor. I did a lot of cleaning of the job sites and the grunt work but I did do a fair amount of carpentry as well. It was very fulfilling work. I was a part of Home Services at Red House and we focused on smaller, residential jobs (ie decks, bathroom remodels, exterior work).
A lot of practice in customer service/relations. Long shifts up to 10 hrs on your feet. Prepared coffee and espresso drinks, smoothies, juices, and food for customers. My best quality here was my relationships with customers and always having a smile on my face. I was also very good at stocking and was given the responsibility to go to Costco every week to re-stock all food and drink items for the cafe.
I worked the counter at On the Rise Bakery. I often opened the bakery in the morning, but also had experience running the bar at night and managing the dinner rush. Mostly counter service and running food to the cafe and handling transactions with customers. A lot of customer relations and some food prep.
