Operate extruders, dryers, coolers i.e. cools the dog food coming out of the dryers. The dog food is ground down by and control room operator, my job was to select correct dye for shape and size, diameter, width, cut, and sometimes color; by using dye application . Using steam, and adding water to run through dye and carried through a dryer. After the food comes out of the dryer a enrober system would apply fat and digest on the outside of the dog food per specs all the specs are listed on a spec sheet. Then dog food then goes through a cooler system to cool the dog food before it is placed in a bin via a screw system.
