* Social Services Director for a 32 bed ICF unit in November 2011 for over a year before accepting the Administrative position that was offered. In Social Services I worked very close with all my residents as well as family members to make sure all their loved ones needs were met appropriately based on their individual needs.
* Passed my CNA in February 2009 and worked for over 3 years in a Skilled unit that ran 65 beds. Cared for patients with all levels of care needs from Broken Hip to End of Life Care.
* Hired as a Caregiver in September 2008 in a 55 bed unit at the Memory Care for 6 months before pursuing my CNA license.
Managed team of 10-15 of Varied staff from Caregivers, Activity, Receptionists, Cooks. I was inspired to continue on with the company after getting hired as a caregiver which was meeting all the basic and physical needs of the residents which as showers, laundry, toileting, Personal hygiene,dressing, serving appropriate foods and drinks, I then went on for my CNA. I passed my CNA which duties included- Showers, toileting, vitals, reporting to the nurse when needed, dressing, wound management, food serve, proper charting. After a few years I realized I wanted to do more so I was then offered the position of the Social Services Director for the ICF unit which I gladly accepted and I loved being so close with all the residents and the family members who knew they could come to me with anything and everything from concerns to just having someone for them to come and talk to when things got rough with his/her loved one a the end of life. I also managed their care plan quarterly, handled all personal needs for clothes, shopping, and getting to and from Dr. Appointments. I was then offered the Administrative position of Assisted Care and I gladly accepted, with only a few short months under my belt I had my first state survey which was Deficiently Free!! I was very proud of all my staff who helped me conquer that. Currently I handle the schedule for staffing, labor hours, admits, discharges, outreach on the community (Marketing) budget control, Services Plans quarterly or when they come due, handle all concerns and complaints from both family and residents, tours, hiring and firing. My residents all know who I am on a first name bases and they know my office is always open to them. I'm available 24/7 to any emergency that might occur.
