Responsible for managing the strategic and tactical aspects of company projects and initiatives to support Store Level Operations success, deliver Company Brand Promise and meet business needs
• Provide operational insight, recommendations and direction, for programs and initiatives that are designed to support improved operational efficiencies, enhance guest satisfaction and drive profitable sales and traffic
• Manage projects from ideation through proof of concept, testing and system implementation through effective project management while partnering with all Home Office Departments
• Provide timely feedback on scope, direction and timing of company initiatives to all departments through management of Company Master Rollout Calendar
• Provide Operations subject matter expertise by serving as primary Operations lead on emerging concepts and other strategic initiatives keeping impact on Operations front and center for every recommended course of action
• Leads cross functional team of subject matter experts; identifies resources required to meet the needs of the initiative; gains alignment from senior leaders on resource commitment
• Determine project risks and issues, identifies options and recommended solutions – elevates as necessary to drive results in a timely manner
• Drive results through others by influencing, gaining alignment and effectively facilitating cross-functional activities. Present professional level updates as needed to ensure assigned projects remain on track to meet all key milestones and deliverables
• Management of all Home Office communication to the field for timelines and relevancy
• Oversight for New Store Openings (NSO) and remodels beginning at lease signing through grand opening. Management of Home Office Departments on project item completion
• Ensure timeliness and accuracy of Store Turnover from Development to Operations.
• Ensure successful training environment during NSO to successful grand opening week
• Create and implement training programs including: Manager in Training, Certified Trainer Development, and Certified Training Store Process
• Develop standards, policies and procedures to help guide Regional Managers and store management teams to meet or exceed key performance indicators
• Regularly monitor and evaluate training programs' effectiveness and update content quarterly, including positional and manager training checklists
• Create ancillary training documents to support learning for different positions within stores
• Create training plans for implementation of company programs
• Responsible for setting & achieving Budgets with General Managers (GMs) for upcoming year - including Cost of Labor (COL), Cost of Materials (COM), Sales & Manager Controllables
• Creating action plans to solve problems with GM's
• Ensuring all cafes are effectively executing any marketing promotions
• Reviewing weekly financial information with GMs Conducting periodic P & L reviews and present at Ops Meetings
• During periodic visits, provide training & coaching on all areas of financial management Quality of Operations – Product Quality, Cleanliness and Service
• Ensuring all Product Related Systems are executed consistently
• Communicating with GMs and appropriate departments about Online Feedback
• Creating actions steps for improvement as needed
• Conducting Experience Evaluation audits as defined through brand standards
• Setting action steps to achieve goals with GM
• Supporting the roll out of new and featured products
