Responsible for directing and managing the day to day clinical operations of the Emergency Department. Responsible for the coordination of staffing 68 FTE and PRN positions, payroll, maintaining personnel files related to competency, attendance, disciplinary actions, and employee performance evaluation. Initiated and maintain Process Improvement plans for the ED and Chest Pain Center. Initiated IV/PICC team. Participate in the National Cardiovascular Data Registry. Maintain departmental metrics and reviewed records for quality performance in the Emergency Department. Participated and prepared the hospital for the Joint Commission Survey. Achieved Cycle IV Chest Pain Center Accreditation. Planned and directed hospital community education events. Pathways to Excellence Shared Governance Rewards, Recruitment, and Retention committee chairman. Participate in the Emergency Preparedness/Disaster Planning. Participate in the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Committee, The DFW Mission Lifeline, and serve on the executive boards of the Mesquite American Heart Association and Mesquite Social Services. Awarded 2014 Director of the Year. Graduate from the Mesquite Citizens Fire Academy and Leadership Mesquite.
