Strategic Planning:

• Completed the UNC NCGCIO course.

• Worked with CIO and the Leadership team to develop strategic goals for DEQ. Also responsible for aligning employees to accomplish those goals.

• Instituted a cross-training initiative so that no area of the department was without support.

Quality Assurance:

• Created and implemented the R3 program. R3 rescues viable machines going to surplus, reconfigures, and then re-distributes them to other divisions that don't have the budget to buy computers. In its first year, this plan saved more than $240,000.
