Provided strong leadership in support of the Karmanos Cancer Institute (KCI) Clinical Trials Office (CTO) of two large teams including Research Nurses (15) and Clinical Research Study Coordinators (65). As an NCI Comprehensive Cancer Center, this role was invaluable to the successful execution of our statewide Oncology research program which has resulted in increased accruals, standardization of workflows and overall improvement in quality and efficiencies.

10/2007 to 03/2019 CTO Manager; Research Nurses & Education Wayne State University/Karmanos Cancer Institute | City, STATE,

Joined the CTO Director in the development of a new KCI CTO infrastructure, resulting from an NCI mandate to centralize all Oncology research efforts. Developed key roles/responsibilities, job descriptions and our robust orientation training program. These efforts were extremely successful and resulted in high (Outstanding to Exceptional) Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) renewal scores for the KCI CTO.

05/1995 to 10/2007 Research Nurse, Radiation Oncology Wayne State University/Karmanos Cancer Institute | City, STATE,

Provided research support for all Radiation Oncology clinical trial activities. Functioned in a hybrid role which included responsibilities of a Research Nurse, Study and Regulatory Coordinator. Maintained all protocol regulatory compliance requirements, patient screening/eligibility, sponsor registrations, data extraction and Case Report Form (CRF) completion. Primary support to the Principal Investigator in efforts toward increased accrual and quality of documentation and protocol compliance.
