Accounting is a powerful resource to any organization, especially one that is looking to grow. I am looking for another opportunity to help a company fulfill their goals. Although under many different ownership entities, I have been with my current company for over 20 years. Due to SGS's evolution into a $450M world wide organization, their philosophy has changed from having numerous independently run locations to super production centers, with all resources provide through their corporate offices in Louisville, KY. Not necessarily a bad thing, but not fulfilling to someone like myself, who likes to keep busy.
When Colorbrite was acquired by SGS in 2002, I maintained the ongoing closing and final distribution of Colorbrite through 2003, as well as performing the Controller duties at SGS-MN. Then due to an unfortunate accident to the Controller of another SGS acquisition in Plymouth, MN, I was thrust into the position of also managing a second location. This dual duty continued until the integration of the two locations in 2008 - now at our current location in Brooklyn Park. I coordinated this two facility transition, with complete buildout of 78,000 sq. ft. without going over budget and maintaining the cost reduction initiative promised to corporate when presenting the consolidation option.

Managed the accounting and administrative departments of this privately owned $24M prepress/design services and plate making facility. When hired in 1995 revenue was $12M and owners were looking at bankruptcy. Worked hand in hand with the president of the company to develop a profit sharing plan in order to create an "owner mentality" for all employees. We shared every aspect of the monthly financial statements and created financial training and yearly exams, so the employees were educated to understand the reasons for managements actions. Company grew to $24M and was sold to SGS in 2002.
