I have worked in health-related fields for 16 years and have a well-rounded view of different aspects of health. It would the gamut of tending to personal health, as an interpreter and a health educator, all the way to public rural health as an appointed member of a state rural health committee. My experience in Mexico, has given me an insight to culture, linguistics, music, and culinary knowledge that few Americans ever attain. My work has taught me about social justice issues, immigration issues, cultural understanding/misunderstanding, linguistic differences among different Latino populations, customer service, being a government employee, healthcare, medical providers, local health, regional and state health- so many things, that I feel that I have much to offer an employer.
