Objective

To serve as CEO of Lenawee Christian Ministries, I would seek to utilize my experience, education, and talents to serve the LORD by forging strong relationships within Lenawee Christian Ministries’ teams. By casting a unified vision, I would cultivate a team environment which challenges us to live a life of love according to Paul's instruction in 1 Corinthians 13. Embracing the rich history of LCS and The Christian Family Centre I will endeavor to stay relevant in today's world. Desiring to guide a leadership team which appreciates and challenges teammates to strive for excellence, this can be accomplished by vision casting and commitment to achieving the wins of the ministry. Endeavoring to create and strengthen existing programs which are ministry-aimed and financially productive, I will challenge our team to seek new and innovative opportunities for the financial benefit and viability of LCM.

As a 1990 graduate of Lenawee Christian School, a former Parent Advisory Board member, a parent of two LCS graduates (2019 and 2021), a surrogate parent for the past six and a half years of a needs-based full scholarship LCS 2021 graduate, a two-year host parent of an LCS 2021 Chinese international graduate and finally as a thirteen-year partner of The Centre and LCS while serving as CEO of 3 Dimensional Physical Therapy, I am uniquely positioned to lead within LCM. Bringing these experiences and unique perspectives, I will relentlessly serve Lenawee Christian Ministries to become a thriving and more effective ministry in Lenawee County.

Additional Information

Organizational Development Beliefs: Over the past thirteen years, while growing 3 Dimensional Physical Therapy, I have had the opportunity and responsibility of developing my leadership style and have taken ownership of a leadership approach which I believe is essential to a thriving organization. It is my belief that success is only possible when we stay within God’s will for our lives. I further believe that every organization, in being true to its mission, must identify its immovables which become foundational to the organization's win and vision. I further believe once an organization establishes these immovables, it must have integrity in staying true to them. If an organization acts in a way contrary to those immovables, then the organization must discontinue such behavior. To do otherwise, the organization will lose its credibility with its team and soon thereafter its effectiveness. Once an organization has identified its immovables, simply memorizing them is not sufficient. Leadership must regularly address the immovables with their team through vision casting, challenging their team to strengthen their resolve toward the immovables, and through accountability if commitment wanes. The organization's immovables should become the answer to the “why” questions, such as; "Why do we do what we do?" "Why is this our approach?" or "Why do we make certain demands from our team?" Establishing the “why” and consistently revisiting it is what unifies and emboldens a team and empowers each team member to independently manage him or herself within that purpose.

Growth During COVID:

As Christian leaders, during the most uncertain times of the COVID pandemic, my executive team and I chose to move forward when many others sought retreat.

Here is how we led during these times:

  • We unified, encouraged, supported, and guided our team in our vision and purpose.
  • We expanded our operations and renovated a new clinic location to allow for a new endeavor, 3DPT Sprouts Children Therapies, complete with new branding and strategic planning.
  • We purchased, renovated, and moved our existing Tecumseh location to a more strategic locale.
  • We forged new business relationships as we worked together for mutual benefit of our businesses.
  • We purchased a commercial building and negotiated leases with other businesses to enhance 3DPT stability.
  • We began a women's health program which is the only one of its kind for Lenawee County women.
  • We forged further business relationships such that two new sites will open in the first quarter of 2022- one for 55 and over patients and one in Hillsdale where we have teamed with a local doctor and sports training facility.
  • We launched a quarterly symposium series for the community, which leverages our business associates in the community, specifically and especially The Centre and LCS.
  • We built a reputation of excellence within our community which led to multiple organizations and individuals reaching out to us and asking for 3DPT partnerships.
  • We successfully launched a new website with all new media content.

We attribute this growth and expansion to our positive focus on our mission and immovables, our relentless vision casting, our amazing team who are mission-minded, and our passionate pursuit of that which God has placed before us.

We Lived a Life of Influence:

As Christians we have the responsibility of spreading peace, hope, and love. This responsibility became more necessary in our world when, during the pandemic, things looked bleak. Here is how we responded:

  • We looked to encourage and uplift our community through creating a radio campaign of encouragement and scripture during the early unknown days of the pandemic.
  • We uplifted, encouraged, and showed gratitude to our first responders and essential workers by delivering free weekly coffee and "hero" cups to them in appreciation.
  • We recognized the peril our local schools were facing during the coronavirus pandemic, led in assisting our partner schools who needed help acquiring personal protective equipment, testing kits, and training in testing. Additionally, we waived a portion of athletic training fees to help our partner schools financially.
