Self-motivated professional successful in seizing viable opportunities. Many years of self taught and professional experience. Enthusiastic and eager to contribute to team success through hard work, attention to detail and well practiced skills.
Many of my current skills are self taught. Starting with building computers towards the end of high school. I then spent some time trying to decide what I wanted to do with my life. All I knew was that I enjoyed creating and building. This led me to a career in food production. I took the first good opportunity I got and moved to Pittsburgh to work and gain experience. Within three years I had surpassed all entry level positions and was now receiving work offers from other high end establishments. Even though my career had a pretty good start I found myself in the fourth year feeling like something was missing. During this time I had some hobbies like building computers and very simple 3D design. I decided to move back home (some family matters greatly influenced this choice) and start looking for jobs to gain experience in more of a manufacturing field. I hadn't quite found the job I was looking for but I had a better opportunity to learn basic operations, explore other hobbies and improve the skills I already had. This led me to building a cryptocurrency mining operation. I realized a 3D printer would help with the cost of replacing many parts and components. From there I started to really practice with different CAD software. This in turn got me into hobbyist CNC milling. A few years later and the COVID-19 pandemic hits. The initial mandatory layoff that took place gave me much time to think about what a possible next step in my life would be. When I got the call to return to work I declined it with the intention of starting a small business. I took just about everything that I had and started said business. Everything was great for the first few months. Three months in and I was considering getting a few employee because I couldn't keep up with the demand. A month later retailer commission prices went up and sales just seemed to stop. I did not expect the pandemic to continue to negatively affect the economy for anywhere near as long as it had. I find myself wanting to find employment that is relative to the skills that I posses and has knowledge and experience to be gained. I am seeking the opportunity to work with five axes milling machines and other multi-axes machines.
