-Work synergistically with the assigned ERSEA Specialist and Child Development
Specialist to assure that all required services and systems are implemented;
-Sustain required compliance to assure that the center meets and/or exceeds Head Start
Performance Standards, Missouri State Licensing and NAEYC Accreditation;
-Select, train and mentor staff to promote high quality services and a team approach to
service delivery;
-Assure that systems are maintained that assure compliance with program financial
management procedures, equipment maintenance and supplies are maintained to meet the
center’s needs;
-Create and maintain an environment that promotes staff professionalism, parent
engagement and a positive child development; and
-Establish and promote an environment of respect and appreciation of cultural and ethnic
difference among staff, parents and children
-Foster the social, emotional, cognitive, language and physical
development of infants and toddlers in accordance with Head Start
Performance Standards, Missouri Child Care Licensing Regulations,
MOA Accreditation Standards and YWCA policies and procedures.
-Formally responsible for providing input to, or suggestions regarding,
all steps necessary to maintain the health and safety of
children in their care.
