Volunteer Work

Joplin Elementary:

Salvation Army:

I assisted in the Red Kettle Kick Off, where individuals come together to donate. My duties included greeting people at the door, set up and take down, communicating with each table, and taking donations.

I took part in toys for tots, school supply drives, and the coat drive.

Toys for Tots: Duties included picking up toys from donation spots, and gathering data on the families who were coming in.

School Drive: Duties included: sending reminders to low income families about the dates to pick up school supplies. Calling and scheduling times for them to come in, and handing them backpacks.

Coat Drive: Sorting coats and hanging them. Greeting clients, giving them a ticket, and helping them select the right size.

Refugee Night: Event to earn money for refugees. I helped decorate the event center, set out the food and drinks, and collected donations at the door.

Adoption Dance: I helped set up the popcorn station, greeted families, sold tickets, and cleaned up after.

Rake the Town: Our cohort helped rake leaves for two homes of elderly clients in the community.

Assisted Living Zoo Trip and Arts and Crafts:

I volunteered to help take elderly individuals on a field trip to the zoo. I also signed up to help with two arts and crafts stations, where they would decorate photo frames and memory posters.
