· Owner of SOCAL Audio Visual serving the community in Southern, California. Services include Audio Reinforcement, Stage Lighting, High-Definition LED Screens, Staging and on-location Recording.
· Meet with clients to discuss and determine necessary requirements and specifications for upcoming events including sound, lighting and all necessary systems.
· Visit all event locations prior to day of event in order to evaluate site and assess safety requirements.
· Conduct meetings with technicians and engineers regarding the set-up, stage design, equipment necessities and labor requirements for upcoming events.
· Serve as the lead sound engineer by mixing front of the house using DiGiCo and Yamaha digital consoles for live concerts, corporate meetings, worship events, conferences and private events.
· Set-up equipment for events including rigging, front of the house line array speaker placement, floor monitors, stage lighting and haze machines.
· Develop and maintain working relationships with local convention centers, auditoriums, resorts and religious organizations.
· Perform a variety of duties including, music director, worship leader, director of technical operations and lead pianist for local congregation.
· Organize the scheduling and participation of musicians, media personnel and music group members for all local events.
· Conduct audio seminars in order to train and mentor volunteers in regard to the operation of analog consoles and their basic functions.
· Operate digital console on a weekly basis assuring a high standard of audio performance is maintained by conducting sound checks with group members.
· Perform monthly inventory of equipment and provide assessment of continuing needs for the organization.
· Build various back drops with the use of power tools for numerous events including, Easter, Christmas, Vacation Bible School, youth and children’s dramas and skits.
· Advise and assist in the planning of stage designs for musical productions.
· Perform maintenance on all media equipment including projectors and computers located in classrooms and auditoriums.
· Supervise all technical aspects of the facility when the location is rented for special events.
· Conducted an overhaul of existing audio-visual system and equipment by evaluating the needs of the facility and providing a financial plan to senior leadership. Upon approval, replaced analog audio system with a digital audio system, installed equipment including, stage boxes, new LED stage lighting, wash lights, moving heads, effect fixtures, fog and haze machines and a basic DMX lighting console, wired and soldered over 500 wires for speakers and XLR connectors leading to digital snakes in control room.
· Most recently, purchased and installed a High-Definition LED screen for the main auditorium and mounted a required truss approximately 20 feet from the ground. Installation included 100 feet of Cat 6 cable, video card processor and electrical requirements to power all panels.
· Built local recording studio, Jubilo Music Productions, which was open to the public beginning in March 2000.
· Installed recording equipment consisting of 32 digital tracks of ADAT and PROTOOLS software.
· Oversaw and executed all financial planning for productions, sales, public relations, music marketing, and cover designs.
· Managed all in studio music compositions and arrangements for each production.
· Supported various local artists in the community by producing their original music.
· Offered clients on location recording for live events in Northern California.
· Local newspaper categorized the studio as one of the best private recording studios in the county for professional design and customer service.
· Established ongoing working relationships and recording projects with University of the Pacific Conservatory of Music in Stockton, California State University Sacramento, San Joaquin Delta College School of Dance and many religious organizations in the area.
· Presided as main director over musical programs and overall production of technical operations.
· Scheduled and organized rehearsals and performances of the department which was comprised of a mass choir, chorale, and musicians.
· Selected appropriate music and songs, suitable for the culture of an English and Spanish congregation.
· Served as a full-time lead Pianist and worship leader.
· Organized weekly rehearsals teaching voice and musical structure for group members while providing feedback and coaching as needed.
· Built an audio system for the organization with the capacity of approximately 1,000 people. System included analog consoles, floor monitors, front of the house speakers, audio snakes, microphones, amplifiers, wiring, multiple analog audio processors and digital recording equipment for recording of all weekly services.
· Installed a stage lighting system including traditional par cans to enhance overall visual appearance on stage.
· Performed maintenance on audio and lighting equipment on a weekly basis. Some maintenance duties included, cleaning equipment, inspecting stage lighting units, replacing broken equipment and repairing and soldering cables as needed.
· Examined musical instruments to ensure proper working condition by tuning acoustic piano, replacing drumheads, tuning drums, changing strings on string instruments, and ordering parts for instruments as needed.
· Provided administration with up-to-date records of equipment by maintaining current inventory of department’s assets.
