I possess over 33 years of experience in the cooperative realm serving in such areas as Business Group Manager/CFO, Energy Services Director, Special Projects Director, as well as Vegetation Control Manager. Throughout my career, I have had exposure to many areas in both business administration and operations such as energy services, vegetation control, dispatch, construction, underground, meter reading, meter testing, load control, project management, billing/finance, benefits, insurance, materials management, ERCOT, NERC/FERC Regulatory as well as legislation. These various duties have enabled me to gain a firm understanding into the innermost workings of the Cooperative.
At various times throughout my career, I have coordinated the activities, schedules, and deadlines of numerous employees and contractors on a daily basis while building team chemistry. My leadership skills and my ability to manage people have allowed me to establish an excellent working relationship with my co-workers, contractors, vendors, and other business associates within the cooperative realm. Likewise, I have worked alongside our legal counsel on several litigation cases incorporating conflict resolution to mediate and diffuse many sensitive and volatile situations. The knowledge I have obtained in planning and managing budgets in excess of several million dollars as well as negotiating contracts between various vendors, contractors, and suppliers would also be considered a strong attribute.
