Licensed since 1989 I am enthusiastic about helping agents achieve success and increasing safety and production for broker-owners. From my first year in sales through the present, wherever I was licensed I was in the top 10% of producing agents in the company all the while mentoring agents and participating in company management.

I believe few agents want to attend training, but most agents want to learn. I created a method of learning I called Skillshare; and it's different than training. With me, agents work hands on to learn the contracts, contingencies, and applicable laws. Agents never stop learning, and if we never stop teaching the knowledge they are licensed to retain, they will learn more good habits and right actions.

As a manager my goal is to increase competency and confidence in agents, while attracting agents to the firm and retaining our own agents. They in turn increase their production, career satisfaction, company GCI, and equally important, they practice safely.


Selected as one of two Realtor members of the Wisconsin Wind Council established by Wisconsin Law to advise the Public Service Commission in establishing requirements for siting industrial wind turbines on participating owners land, and near non-participating owners land.

Designed the business model, and established the agency as the responsible broker/owner. Guided my son to become the owner-broker of the firm after one year. The first year sales reached $8.4 million.

Developed a negotiating strategy for our buyer clients to obtain accepted offers in multiple offer scenarios eight times.

Designed and implemented a listing negotiating strategy that increased the net equity retained by our selling clients by at least $2,500.

Established the company on an unmatched foundation of contract knowledge and license law compliance.

Managing Broker, 06/2018 - 10/2019
Sprinkman Real Estate City, STATE,

Created a unique skill building program that increased per agent production by raising their contract and license law knowledge to levels uncommon in the market.

Resolved procuring cause and contract commission issues collecting and retaining over $24,000 for the brokerage and agents.

Taught agents to use the terms of the contracts to out negotiate competing brokers in favor of our clients.

Retained clients who requested to terminate their listing contracts, and lead the agent and owners back on track. These listings ultimately closed and netted the firm more than $40,000.

Revised company purchase agreement addenda to give our buyer clients more options to make their offers more attractive to sellers in what was fast becoming a strong seller's market. These changes enabled many of our clients to own homes they would have lost had they not used my ideas to improve their offers, without just paying more money.

Established a learning session that resulted in 100% of the agents beginning their two year CE in the first year with the goal of everyone completing CE at least six months before the deadline.

Reviewed all offers to purchase for legal compliance, where I discovered and corrected many out of compliance practices.

Assisted agents and owners with negotiating purchase contracts with their clients.

Identified a procedure flaw that exposed a development client to the risk of all accepted offers being terminated. Created a procedure and coordinated purchase agreement improvements with the developer's attorney to solve that problem.

My career with Restaino & Associates began in 1991 lasting into 2004 at which time I left to start a brokerage firm with another ownership group. In 2008 I returned to my previous position as a broker-manager. The company never had fewer than 125 agents and at one time was over 200. A split in ownership gave me the opportunity to help one of the owners rebuild his firm beginning in the dark days of the recession.

I recruited agents from other firms to join us and eventually had recruited a talented manager from another firm who brought agents with him, allowing us to open a third location at a time when firms were closing doors.

Our plan was to bring in talented agents, keep them in business, and be prepared for the recovery. The plan worked very well.

In 2012, as new licensees came back to the business, I wrote and delivered a new agent learning program designed to give agents competence with the contract terms. Knowing agents with no competence and a lot of confidence were dangerous, I inspired those agents to learn the contracts. The agents who were reluctant to go out until they had some knowledge and confidence were eager learners and they developed quickly.

It's possible to show new agent production increase eight sales a year for two years to consistently more than 30 sides per year for the last few years.

In my years at Restaino I mentored agents who went on to be top producers in their firms and some who are top agents in the MLS. Several of my mentees own their firms today.

Through my time with this firm I resolved and arbitrated procuring cause cases for the firm. The largest decision in our favor was a $60,000. I worked smart to deliver favorable outcomes for the firm and agents regardless of the dollar amount. There were cases where we did not prevail, and of course there were many cases where the brokers and agents settled without getting to arbitration.
