  • Serve as an intelligence analyst in the NY Field Division Intelligence Group, providing agents and investigators with vital sources of intelligence for the daily operations of ATF New York.
  • Duties include conducting daily discoverer queries to identify low time-to-crime recovered firearms in an effort to identify active firearms trafficking trends; facilitating incoming requests from ATF personnel including field agents and other law enforcement officers; interpret accuracy of ballistic/firearm analysis reports to generate trace requests through the Electronic Tracing System (eTRACE) and deconflicting data to graft sensitive information for potential investigative leads.
  • Other responsibilities include extracting key facts for analysis to identify trends and patterns for further investigation.
  • Utilization of social media platforms such as facebook, twitter and instagram to identify targets and investigative leads, databases such as the TECS, National Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (NLETS), ATF's case management system (NFORCE), Bomb and Arson Tracking system (BATS), National Crime Information Center (NCIC) database, PIMS (Photo Imaging Mugshot System), public access systems and other state criminal justice systems.
  • Use of database analysis such as crime mapping and ballistic analysis to deduce violent crime patterns and present the findings to the appropriate ATF personnel to formulate leads.
