Having been in the service industry for over 45 years, I have developed a sincere understanding of all aspects of the business-from the time a guest enters the establishment to the check-out. My customer satisfaction skills have also developed into knowing what a particular person needs to make their visit an enjoyable one, or to rectify a complaint. Table touches, "bartender banter' and a safe a and stimulating atmosphere are the essence of FOH responsibilities.
I believe that interviewing and hiring the right person for the job and creating a "family team" comprised of professionals is crucial to success in this industry.
My relationship with beer and liquor vendors, the Baltimore Health Department, the Baltimore Liquor Board and the Maryland Restaurant Association spans decades in Baltimore. I believe this allows me to react to business trends and restrictions-especially during Covid.
Additionally, working in the bar industry for 25 years has provided me with extensive BOH knowledge on draft beer systems, pressurized gas and soda systems, trouble-shooting and maintenance contacts, from refrigeration and electrical issues to HVAC problems.
I have also developed and maintained customer loyalty programs ie "beer clubs", created and designed merchandise including wearables, worked with local radio and TV personalities, posted new cocktail creations using fresh herbs and flowers on social media...all in the interest of building and growing customer loyalty.
I am Servsafe and Tips certified and have the contacts to schedule classes to ensure the all employees are certified as well.
My POS experience includes proficiency in Aloha and Toast, both FOH and BOH.
