I've been employed with the Internal Revenue Service for over thirty years. During that time, I've received multiple performance awards, multiple manager's awards, a Special Act award, and a Certificate of Appreciation from FEMA due to my voluntary efforts in eastern NC following a natural disaster in 2001.
In addition to receiving the above accolades, I am an accomplished author as well. I self-published a book, "Against the Odds: The Perfect Season", several years ago and the book is currently listed on Amazon. The book is about a group of children who overcame enormous odds on their way to winning a baseball championship.
Lastly, I started umpiring baseball in 2019. I have extensive experience in the game of baseball as a result of playing over twenty years and coaching several more. This allows me to be around the game in a professional setting. Due to my career experiences and successes, I feel I can be a positive influence regardless of my future endeavors.
I work well with others, have a strong work ethic, grasp things quickly, and I'm very flexible.

During the course of my career, I have investigated business and personal tax accounts alike while using a variety of alternatives in bringing said cases to closure. I have investigated personal accounts, corporations, limited liability companies, sole proprietors, and partnerships. As a Revenue Officer of thirty years, I've managed to establish a solid balance between protecting the Government's interests and the rights of taxpayers. I've engaged in the following as a Revenue Officer, and more recently, as an Offer Specilist;
I assisted others in promoting curbside recycling to the residents of North Carolina by going out into various communities for the purpose of educating N.C. citizens about the benefits of recycling and it's positive impact on the environment.
