My duties at this job vary from minute to minute. I order all parts needed for different repair jobs from our various vendors. i shop around for the best quality and most affordable parts that can reliably be delivered on a time table to complete our repairs as quickly as possible. I make detailed and accurate estimates for our customers. Giving an accurate cost and time table that we can realistically complete the needed repairs. I organize and clean our auto shop. I work with our technicians to make sure they have everything they need to never have to delay their time tables for repairs. I check in and evaluate all customer vehicles that come into our shop. I test drive all of our cars to make sure the issues the customers were having are completely addressed. I spend a large portion of time driving vehicles of all sizes and kinds. I will routinely drive up to 100 miles a day test driving cars and picking up auto parts personally to expedite delivery and meet our customer time tables. As the owners assistant i do some service writing and office work such as filling and organizing our office space. I shuttle a large portion of our customers from our office to their homes and work places. One of the main duties I have is making sure our customers are happy and are inconvenienced as little as possible while being without their vehicle. I have very good customer relation skils. Our return customers all know me by name.
