Audiovisual Production Specialist Department Of Defense Stafford, VA,

Serves as producer, director, scriptwriter, videographer and editor for original but well-precedented audiovisual productions. Extremely proficient user of Adobe Creative Cloud, Avid and Apple Final Cut digital editing software. Develops production schedules, coordinates staff activities, makes normal administrative and logistical arrangements and uses standard multimedia equipment, techniques and processes to produce presentations. Directs the work of actors, narrators, musicians, set designers, audio and lighting technicians, camera operators and other associated technical personnel to produce, select and arrange the actions, sound and visual effects required for the finished production. Composes and directs prerecorded programs that consist of voice narration, involving minimal rehearsal of special visual, sound or dramatic effects. Plans visuals to communicate the educational and instructional concepts of the project using the most appropriate media. Confers with clients and supervisors to determine and make recommendations in regards to format, basic objectives, subject matter, manner of presentation, intended use and distribution during pre-planning, production and post-production activities. Conducts pre production meetings and site visits to ensure sets and other necessary support requirements are identified. Utilizes principles of visual design, lighting, digital imaging, music, sound and contemporary camera composition to accomplish assignments. Creates and modifies computer images and graphics, develops storyboards, artwork and other production elements. Reviews and edits scripts for coordination and continuity of audiovisual productions to ensure content properly reflects Air Force public affairs communication themes and messages. Selects scenes and events to be videotaped and determines appropriate background, color, lighting and action. Uses established sources of audiovisual talent and special effects such as casting lists, music libraries, stock footage and post production services to acquire the elements needed for the production. Produces and directs live or taped television productions for potential use on official government web sites, American Forces Radio and Television Service and government access channels. Edits a variety of audiovisual media for productions of limited scope and complexity using established procedures and standard equipment. Evaluates raw footage for storyline, studies the completed script and accurately prepares script breakdown identifying shot lists, scenes, action, camera angles and desired effects. Edits and mixes audio and visual recordings and related materials such as animation, computer graphics and digital video effects to produce finished products.
