Accomplishments

An accomplishment that I am honored to have been apart of was my mentoring program called Mazie. Mazie is a leadership program that is in a way almost similar to a secret society because in order to attend you are personally chosen and its based off years worth of progress and determination and personal growth. I was personally chosen after my first year of high school and got recruited into the program for my clear leadership and perseverance skills. I had always been a quick learner an throughout my academic careers I have had the pleasure of working with some of the best teachers which ended up influencing my pattern of accountability and discipline to make each day a better day. I was apart of the program for 3 years and throughout those 3 years I did community service for the city of the Framingham, volunteered at a local nursing home planning event nights, being in charge of parent teacher nights, and being a school tutor 2/5 courses my senior year. Even though I ended up withdrawing myself from the program a few months before my final ceremony, due to personal reasons I achieved more than I could have ever dreamed of. It brought me out of my shell and allowed me to spread awareness to the world and other communities around the state of Massachusetts and it has followed me all way down almost 2,000 miles to the community of South Florida and it ended up being the final project of my universities J term Community Project in 2020. It raised a ton of funds for my freshman class and they were able to sell a ton of merchandise related to the BeLikeBrit foundation that I have been apart of since 2016.
