For the last 16 years I have worked as the Assistant Facilities manager for the Key School. Prior to that I was a General Contractor doing commercial renovation. A majority of our work was with Georgetown University's Athletic department. Working there required a lot of special attention to detail and catering to individual needs and schedules. Prior to that I was a Foreman for a landscaping company. I was in charge of their "Hardscapes" projects, such as decks, fences, patios, walkways, walls, etc.
Over the years at Key I have overseen and coordinated many projects; asbestos abatement, underground fuel oil tank abatements, new fuel oil tank installations, installation of wells and irrigation systems, boiler replacements, cooling tower rehab, storm water management upgrades, fire alarm upgrades, and many others.
I have also enjoyed the opportunity to work with Faculty and Students in and around the classroom. I have assisted with Earth Day Grants and projects. Provided logistical help for Outdoor Education trips. Annually shuck oysters for the second grade science classes, during their Bay Studies section on oysters.
