During pandemic RCS received an influx of funding to aid individuals and families around Jefferson County with rent, utilities, food, and a host of other benefits. As the Assistant Director of operations and budgetary responsibilities that includes oversight of over $100 million dollar budget from various funding sources. Providing oversight to 125 full-time/part time staff and over 50 seasonal/temporary staff. Responsibilities include: 

  • Prepare and respond to $120 plus million dollar budgetary needs and personnel related task. Following CDC guidance and best practices to maintain and keep staff safe and healthy during pandemic. Coordinate, schedule pickup and delivering for over 1000 PPE to staff, shelters, and other nonprofit organizations. 
  • Establishing and Assist Staff with creating Standard Operating Procedures around new working conditions. 
  • Develop equity statement and budget with equity committee. Within first year of implementation 150+ staff completed Diversity, Equity Inclusion training. 
  • Partake in scoring and selection of newly implemented Financial Empowerment Center for all Jefferson County residents. Free all residences no matter income level or zip code reside to build financial stability, generational wealth and emergency savings.
  • Oversight and assist with all procurement related task 
  • Prepare, submit, and train staff on federal Programmatic and Financial Reporting and year-end close out. Assist clients to maintain current and accurate and compliant files and documentation.
  • Processing invoice payments and contracts to sub-recipient, grantees and clients for assistances for over 200 organizations. 
  • Train staff on federal, state, and local regulations and policies. 
  • Perform monitors of funds and ensuring LMG are good stewards of dollars received. 
