Served as a Team Leader in a rapidly deployed Mechanized Infantry Platoon in support of Operation Enduring Freedom XVIII; responsible for health, welfare, discipline, morale, accountability, and training of five Service Members to ensure sustained mission accomplishment; received and issued orders from Squad Leader; assists Squad Leader in developing and executing dismounted and mounted training plans. Actively participated in over 150 combat patrols in Kunduz Province during Operation Enduring Freedom XVIII with Special Forces ODA 5321 and Afghan Special Forces. Combined five Service Members of multiple MOS's with minimal time and training and turned them into a cohesive and competent infantry team. Lead and counseled three Service Members selected for promotion by providing them leadership and guidance. Maneuvered five Service Members through a successful National Training Center 12-03A rotation resulting in a successful validation for the squad. Assisted in training 600 Afghan Local Police in basic patrolling, marksmanship, and Improvised Explosive Device detection with a 95% graduation rate.
