Served as a Team Leader in a rapidly deployed Mechanized Infantry Platoon in support of Operation Enduring Freedom XVIII; responsible for health, welfare, discipline, morale, accountability, and training of five Service Members to ensure sustained mission accomplishment; received and issued orders from Squad Leader; assists Squad Leader in developing and executing dismounted and mounted training plans. Actively participated in over 150 combat patrols in Kunduz Province during Operation Enduring Freedom XVIII with Special Forces ODA 5321 and Afghan Special Forces. Combined five Service Members of multiple MOS's with minimal time and training and turned them into a cohesive and competent infantry team. Lead and counseled three Service Members selected for promotion by providing them leadership and guidance. Maneuvered five Service Members through a successful National Training Center 12-03A rotation resulting in a successful validation for the squad. Assisted in training 600 Afghan Local Police in basic patrolling, marksmanship, and Improvised Explosive Device detection with a 95% graduation rate. Trained five Service Members in basic rifle marksmanship which resulted in a first time go success rate during M-4 semi-automatic weapon qualification at the live fire range. Implemented a two hour, three days a week training program for a 12 man squad on basic Soldiering skills. Maintained 100% accountability of teams sensitive items and equipment in excess of $6,000,000 without loss. Assisted in logistical movement of $7,500,000 in government property from Village Stability Platform Larkahbi to VSP Nowabad with zero loss or damage to property. Secured crime scenes, gathered evidence and questioned witnesses. Conducted Pre-Maintenance Checks and Services on multi million dollar vehicles, test fired M2 .50cal automatic weapon, and M240B automatic weapon system to ensure firing properly and safely prior to mission patrol operations. Ensured radios and communications were filled and set to prevent communication failure between multi million dollar vehicles, and Forward Operation Base, and Village Stability Platform Nowabad. Responded immediately to calls involving automobile accidents, suspected bomb threats, and criminal activities Talked regularly with citizens to establish rapport. Removed disabled vehicles and obstructions from roadways. Actively patrolled places of interest to prevent and detect acts of terrorism. Secured crime scenes, engaged when fired upon, and tactically apprehended criminals into US custody. Assisted in the security of Patrol Base Red which resulted in zero attacks on the Patrol Base. Conducted Pre­Maintenance Checks and Services, on Multi Million dollar equipment, M2 .50cal automatic weapon, M240B automatic weapon, M4 semi-automatic weapon, and M9 pistols. Responded immediately to Vehicle Born Improvised Explosive Device attacks, and applied first aid to local nationals. Responded quickly to clear and remove terrorist from local national houses, trying to commit acts of terrorism. Secured roads for US patrols to safely maneuver through area of operation with zero loss and damages during a 15 month over seas rotation. Stormed Sadar City, Iraq with three platoons of Delta Company 1-30IN, along with numerous Companies of 2HBCT, 3ID. To secure, and over power, high valued targets, known terrorists, and acts of terrorism, which resulted in a stand down from Al Sadar, to ensure his peoples safety in the three days of occupying Sadar City, Iraq.
