Incorporate EOS SLS 3D printers into customer production lines:

  • Communicate with sales personnel and/or customers about part application to achieve the highest quality 3d printed benchmark
  • Creating benchmark build reports with time, cost, and material usage details
  • Perform basic and advanced trainings, at customer sites, on our EOS machines, materials and software
  • Collaborate with EOS engineers in Texas to use our machine fleet most efficiently to complete the ever-growing queue of benchmarks requested

Lab Work:

  • Clean/maintain entire 3d printing and post processing lab
  • Ensure machine hardware is frequently calibrated/maintained to produce best results with 10+ materials kept in house

  • Produced a FAQ library for customers to assist them in becoming self sufficient

  • Post-process up to 500 surgical parts/week produced for an outside company
  • Learn to operate and maintain 4 different types of industrial 3D printers (SLS, SLA, Poly-jet Fusion, and FDM) to best assist engineering students in the rapid prototyping process.
  • Use material science, and 3D modeling software (Solidworks/Magics) to generate item prototypes for outside companies and graduate students.

     Achievements

  • Reduced the post-processing time of ocular surgical parts produced by our SLS machine (EOS Formiga P100) by 30% with no compromise to part quality.
  • Updated the costing rubric for the service of 3d printing parts according to the updated inputs (e.g. lowered electricity costs, raised filament costs, lowered post processing time)
