Incorporate EOS SLS 3D printers into customer production lines:
EOS Machine/Software Trainer
One of my biggest responsibilities as an Applications Engineer was to train customers on EOS machinery and software. The trainings were 3-4 days long and involved presenting the basics of: SLS technology, material science behind our brand of polymers, CAD training, and build processor software training . The other half of the training involved a hands-on tutorial showing the customers how to properly use/maintain/clean their new printer.
Spearhead Legacy Part Redesign
After speaking to machine builders, disgruntled that the Engineering Department never updates part files, I lead the effort to update existing part drawings by getting the workers inputs and (with approval) editing the CREO files myself and requesting engineering's approval afterward.
Engineering Camp Counselor
I was selected, along with 8 other engineering graduates, to be accountable of between 17-22 high school students aspiring to be engineers. Throughout our 7 day camp session on UC-Berkeley's campus, I lead 2 seminars on 3D printing; assisted my students in Arduino, video game design, and CAD workshops; coordinated with UC-Berkeley's faculty to tour the campus, did bedtime check-ins, and told relayed my collegiate experience as an engineer.
