  • Currently serve as Louisiana National Guard Liaison Officer (LNO) for Plaquemines Parish government.
    Providing logistical expertise in the areas of planning, coordinating, and advising supported Parish and Federal government agencies about National Guard products and services. This support included logistics functional integration and as a broker of enterprise level logistic solutions involving Contingencies, mobilization, readiness and/or natural disaster planning activities, and exercises. Served during hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Gustov and Ike as the Parish DOD LNO for all aspects of recovery. Interaction with Federal, state and parish agencies included Parish President, FEMA, and Deployed National Guard Units (both Army and Air) Congressional delegations, Governors' office of Homeland Security, Director of Emergency Operations, Parish department heads, Plaquemines Parish Sheriff, Gubernatorial interaction, State Police, Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries, and various presidential cabinet Visits. Once steady state operations were established after Katrina and Rita, served as Parish LNO for the Louisiana Recovery Authority.

  • As a production Controller my duties included but were not limited to: Coordinating all aspects of the 159 maintenance function as it related to the annual flight hour flying program. Prioritizing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions for all applicable work centers and tracking said maintenance actions. Making "snap" Maintenance decisions in a pressured work environment with little or no supervision. Chairing daily maintenance planning meetings. Dispatching maintenance personnel. Debriefing flight crews and disseminating maintenance discrepancies for input into various data-based computer programs. Insuring implementation of the weekly flying schedule. Led over 40 deployments to various operations and conflicts around the world (at times, simultaneously). Awarded the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal by senior leaders for superior performance. Managed $30M+ in aircraft support equipment and personal protective equipment vital to mission success and the safety of 600 unit members; resulted in zero losses, and the continued mission success. During this period, I also served as Aircraft Maintenance Expediter for the 159th LG from December 2000 to May 2001.

Served as interim Shop Chief during the first half of 1991.
