Airmen Leadership School - ALS
Purpose: Introduction of total quality management, seven-step improvement process, quality environment, tools, metrics, and effective team-building. Learn management, theories, techniques, and practical application of leadership/followership. Study supervision roles, problem solving, concepts of human behavior, and effective counseling techniques. Review principles, concepts, and influences of oral/written communication.
Air Force Training Course
Purpose; Provide necessary knowledge and skill training for Air Force personnel who perform duties of trainer and/or task certifier. Includes responsibilities and characteristics of key personnel, initiating the training process, training forms, documentation, planning, scheduling, conducting and evaluating training, and identifying certification procedures.
Basic Instructor Course
Purpose: Prepare selected individuals with fundamental of teaching and training, counseling process, and preparation and delivery of formal academic presentations. Participants gain experience in classroom/laboratory instruction, lesson plan preparation, preparation/use of audiovisual aids, test administration, and academic counseling.
Non-Commissioned Officer Academy - NCOA
Purpose: Detailed study of managing and supervising personnel. Includes basic management principles as applied to planning, organizing, supervising, controlling, and directing personnel; worker-supervisor relationships; and recruitment, selection, placement, and training of employees. A detailed study of theory for technician-supervisors in application of oral and written communications. Emphasis is on both correspondence and research reports of timely management practices. Includes concepts of human behavior; standards of discipline; effective counseling techniques; methods of orienting new personnel; principles of motivating individuals within groups; evolution of management theory; personnel management skills; and applied problem-solving techniques in management, social issues, and labor relations.
