  • My duties as admissions manager of NSSH is to supervise all admits into the hospital. This included verifying all insurance and obtain any prior authorizations that may be needed. Placing patient in appropriate room with all equipment required for the best care. Providing all management the accurate morning and evening census in the hospital. Secondly I performed as a clinical liaison, which included going to referring facilities and complete head to toe assessment of potential patients and reporting my findings to our intake team. I worked hand and hand with most of the Physicians in St. Tammany parish both east and west. I have several ties with many of the MD and NP.s in this area. the main goal of the entire intake team is to increase census and revenue while still reducing daily cost.
