As of December of 2014 I will hold my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education with Pennsylvania Certification. I have completed over 300 hours of observation and practicums. I completed my practicum at the Charlestown Playhouse in Phoenixville, PA. I completed my student teaching at Bregy Elementary School in South Philadelphia, PA.
I can plan developmentally appropriate differentiated instruction and curriculum based on formative assessment and needs of diverse learners. I also can demonstrate understanding of classroom dynamics, classroom management strategies, and inclusive classroom models. I work very well with others and have a passion to teach children.
I have received my Associate in Arts (A.A.) Degree in Education: Early Childhood (Birth-4th grade), and I am also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa and hold a 3.78 GPA. I am interested in teaching or working in related careers with children birth through fourth grade. My degree provided me with a sound theoretical foundation in principles of child growth and development from the prenatal period through the primary years, as well as a functional understanding of programs and curricula appropriate for young children. Skills emphasized include child observation, curriculum planning for diverse learners, advocacy, and interpersonal and communication abilities.
Awarded the Ruth Holmes Bacon Award of Excellence (Education-Early Childhood birth-4th Grade) which is awarded to a graduate of the ECE program who demonstrates professional promise.

The program I completed allowed me to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills in the discourse of the discipline, demonstrate knowledge of professional ethics and advocacy, discuss and apply theories of child development explaining patterns of physical, cognitive, social/emotional, language, and moral development and learning for young children ages birth to 10 years.
The program also taught me to explain aspects of the history of early childhood education, including the American education system, and the social and cultural mores that shaped that history and affect contemporary practices.
As of December 2014 I will hold my Bachelor's of Science with Pennsylvania Certification in Early Education (PreK-4) and have completed courses within the Division of Teacher Education and Leadership, including student teaching and the student teaching seminar in addition to meeting all Core Requirements.
The program I completed combines a sound liberal arts background with specific training in educational and child psychology, in curriculum methods and materials, and in extensive fieldwork. The program is approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
